Purpose of Journalism

Freedom of speach is one of America's most important freedoms. This right allows the people of our country to give their opinion about anything and publish it for the masses. We are lucky to live in a country that allows its citizens to publically voice their opinion. Journalists particulary have a duty to report information that the American people need to know. This collective group known as journalists are essential to a society, because certain views need to be expressed for the better of the country. A good citizen is an informed citizen. In our democratic nation, it is up to the individual people to discuss current and important issues and without the press, it would be much more difficult achieve a massive dialogue about important topics.

My bio

They call me Chris. I graduated from Collierville High Scool and currently attending University of Memphis. My plan is to graduate with a degree in Journalism with a concentration in advertising, and a minor in graphic design. If all goes as planned I will accomplish this by my fifth year and land a great job somewhere out west or up north.
